Reveal! One Crayon Color Challenge

And welcome to my Reveal for the One Crayon Color Challenge!

I apologize if the post wasn't up if you were by earlier.  My attempt to post before breakfast didn't work. I was distracted by chants of "Pancakes!  Bacon!  Coffee!"  So, now that Kids and Man are fed and caffeinated, I'm back where I belong.  Heh.

So, then, the color I chose for this challenge, black, is one that I tend not to work in much.  It's weird, I tend to have a lot of black clothing.  But not so much in the way of jewelry and accessories are black.  I guess that's where I pull the color into my outfits, in the accessories and jewelry.  So working and planning something in this color, and monochromatic at that, was a challenge.  But fun.  However, since I don't have any black or steel wire to use, it's not a completely monochromatic theme.  But, then, this is me.  And I needs me my metal and wire!  So Fail on that, I guess, but I'm cool with it ;)  And here's what I came up with.

First off, we have a simple necklace of black and antiqued brass.  All of the components in this piece were created by me, specifically for this challenge.  

Swarovski cubes and Czech glass rondelles, both in black, were the first things I pulled out of my stash to work with.

The focal, simply because apparently I can't work without a focal,
is brass that I etched and patina'ed.

I also created a pair of earrings.

These earrings feature wonderful antique brass buttons...a sneak peek into what our lovely
hostess sent to me for the Button Swap, hosted by Cindy Wimmer!  Which you'll see on May 13th :) 

I'd wanted to work on a bracelet, but honestly, I plain ole ran out of time!  I hope you're enjoying yourself on this hop...I know I am!  Please don't forget to visit everyone else who's playing along!  :)  Happy Saturday folks!
